One of my buddies was an extra on Hawaii Five O the other night. Fun watching him stroll the beach behind the actors.

Very close to my son moving back here. He needs a rescue and do over badly. That boy is something else.

Start work tomorrow. I’m ready to start this new phase. Another supervisor who started with the old job at the same time is also leaving and going back to his old job. The institutional differences are staggering and you are always on the outside looking in. I’m very happy to be back with what I know and love. I hated my old job but it paid well.

I found out there is another dog sled race after the Iditarod! There are 16 mushers, including my favorite – Nic Petit from Girdwood!

Here’s a drone shot of the “mass start” at Kobuk 440 Sled dog race. Unlike the Iditarod where mushers take off every two minutes, they drop a hat at this race and everyone mushes off across the ice in front of the hotel in Kotzebue in far northwestern Alaska!
