Transition

July 27, 2018 Friday

7:02 AM Sassy
Happy Friday kid!
Headed to another 5 hour retirement seminar!

7:20 AM Phil
I have no tips since I have failed miserably at retirement. Another five years for me.

7:23 AM Sassy
I was thinking about the last months in a job, how to go out in style, ease the transition for them, prep so the new person can take over etc

7:35 AM Sassy
I haven’t left a job on my own terms since 1985!

8:52 AM Phil
I am having to prep for turnover as well. So much to do

1:10 PM Sassy

I split the transition into five goals:
1) Increased documentation of tasks and timelines,
2) clean up paper archives,
3) cross-train colleagues,
4) discuss revision of job description and
5) Get electronic documents where they belong (get personal stuff off work computers, get work stuff off home computer to work computer)

2:34 PM Phil
I need to do all of those as well, but need the pace to slow enough so I have a hope of getting to even one

2:36 PM Sassy
I hear you. I have 10 months and still not sure if I will get it done

How about them Red Sox?! Pitcher Chris Sale breaks the record for least innings pitched to get 200 strike-outs this year! He is in such a groove!

Sale fastest in AL history to 200-K plateau

The Red Sox hurler hit the 200-strikeout mark in 136 innings, faster than any MLB pitcher this season and also faster than any other pitcher in AL history.

Hug you

Hiya T!  Hope you were warm and happy far away today!  It was beastly cold here – 33 and windy and raw.  It snowed and sleeted and… be glad you missed that!
We tried a new restaurant for brunch – Lantana Cafe in Medford.  It was fine but I see no reason to go back.
Hubby was out seeing “A Wrinkle in Time” with a friend, so I enjoyed a long play session with Gigi!  I found a very naughty site with a bunch of short videos
I had a lovely nap, then a drive to Malden for dinner with Sis at All Seasons Table.  I went with Chinese options tonight – so tasty!
The Red Sox won again!  13-2! This is so fun!!  The Patriots Day game is cancelled due to rain, so they will get an extra day to rest before heading to CA.
It’s a quiet evening at home… headed to bed early, storing up strength for the week ahead.  Two more days before the last big event I run for awhile is over!  Just have to make it to Tuesday at 6 pm… I can do this.  It will be fine.
Want to hug you… make you smile.  And moan.  Mmmm… Take care T!

Dear T!
Thank you ever so much for checking in before you headed out!
[I am so mad at Yahoo… it never tells me you have written.  So  I didn’t see your message until 3 am.  Grrr…. ]
I am sending you positive vibes for a glorious, safe, easy trip and the ability to compartmentalize. So glad you get to go to your happy place at this time.
My life is going well!  How about them Red Sox?!  It is so fun to see them winning and breaking records, and beating the Yankees is always so delicious.
The end of my crazy days at work is in sight!  I am feeling much calmer – I made it through running the big reception last Tuesday and did not strangle my boss on Wednesday despite her petty feedback without kudos.  Just have to make it through a second (much smaller) reception this Tuesday and I can be calmer for quite awhile!
I signed up for a retirement planning workshop about how to plan what to do in retirement to stay active and growing and satisfied.  I did the reading today and may pass along tips because they could apply to any “planning for the next step in life” which you may face.  My community project feels like it will put me in a better position than many retirees in terms of having something to do that will connect me with people and get me out and about.
I signed up for a bystander training in early May with my project folks.  Hope it helps me understand the best things to do.  Not sure if I could ever do them but perhaps they will empower me.
Hubby told me Wednesday that he felt awesome.  I can’t recall him ever using that word for his mental state.  He started seeing a new professional snuggler, and has been much better all week.  He took care of some things while I was nuts from work without me having to ask.  And agreed to go out for dinner, which had not happened in a while.  I had tasty Korean beef!
I had a fun time on Facebook today – asked my friends who was the most famous person they’d ever met?  Got 70 responses and some fascinating stories!  I think my younger sister “won” with Jackie O, who she helped with a membership renewal when she worked at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC during college.  I also learned about several new people who someone thought was famous but I’d never heard of.
We went out to S&S Deli tonight and there were “sleepy-ons” in my Rachel sandwich – fell asleep at 7 pm, woke up at 11:30 pm.  Whee!  I’d better get back to bed.
Looks like a quiet weekend… nothing on the calendar except brunch with my older sister and her beau on Sunday morning. I long to go to Gloucester and eat lobster… we’ll see if I can get there!
I have been looking at Tumblr with a focus on how they pose the women and wondering if you could find angles of me and take photos that would be sexy.  We could have fun trying!  Pat your cock for me.
Hugs with sexy back rub!

Hiya T!  Hope you basked in the sunshine today and saw wonderful sites!
I got Hubby out of the house!  It was cold and gray but I was longing to get out so we drove up to Gloucester for lunch at Lobsta Land.  I had lobster chowder, coconut shrimp and paella!  So tasty!
We went to Nichols Candy House, an old-fashioned handmade chocolate store run by older ladies.  I got treats!
We went to Good Harbor Beach but the boardwalk is ruined from a recent storm, so they weren’t letting anyone out onto the sand.  Boo.  It was too cold and windy anyway.
We went to my favorite convenience store up there, a random 7-11.  They always have new snacks I’ve never seen anywhere else.  Today they had something like Cracker Jack only it was made with macadamia nuts instead of peanuts!
The Sox won again!  They’re 12-2 now!  Wowzers!
It’s a quiet evening at home.  I’m taking it easy, bopping around the net and petting kitty cats to catch up on all the attention they missed in the 5 hours we were out.
If you were here, I would talk you into walking around the corner to one of restaurants, sitting in a back corner, being naughty under the table, sharing amazing dishes and solving the problems of the world!  After dinner and digestion… there would be less clothing and more touching!
Hugs with groping and naughty whispering in your ear!

Tentative Plan Proposed

April 6, 2018

Re: Wishes OTD

Hiya Brett!

Wonderful to hear you made it through the holiday and the roller coaster baseball game!

I had to be at Kenmore yesterday taking Hubby to a doctor’s appointment at 3 pm and managed to sneak in after the game started and dash out before I thought it was ending. A bunch of people poured out before it was over (when the Rays scored two runs in the 8th), but we made it out and had an amazing early dinner at Shanghai Gate in Allston.

Work is crazy today! I need to be 3 people to get it all done, and my intern called in sick! I so want to be with you instead! So sad! I am swamped prepping for two big receptions until April 17, but can go anytime after that. Should we make a tentative plan for April 20?

Take care! Think about my Sassy boobs when you need to smile! Mwah!
