Hubby and I went to CK Pearl on Main St in Essex.  The food is spectacular and the waitress is sassy!  And it’s right on the river…so gorgeous!  Then I went for a walk out the sand bar on Wingaersheek Beach…gorgeous!   Let me take you there someday?

Hubby saw the orthopedic dr. this afternoon.  They put him in a boot and cane and told him to stay off it for 2 weeks.  I had to race out of work to find him because he could not drive home!  If he does not improve a lot, he can’t go away Friday.  My current Plan B thought is to get a hotel room Thursday night close by my place and meet you there Friday morning.  If you have other ideas, let me know.  I want to see you no matter what!

Meet #1 The Trainer Terrific

Report #1 The Trainer 
12 noon Heading out
I left my office and drove to Framingham.  It was quick and easy, so I was wicked early.  I parked near the TGI Friday’s at Shoppers World, sent the “meet info” email I’d forgotten to send to Hubby and Sis, scrolled through Facebook and re-read his profile until I got his email saying he was here!   
I checked my look in the mirror, then walked across the parking lot.  The temperature was not too bad, but the wind was bad.  I hurried to get out of the cold! 

1 pm  Meeting at Starbucks
I strolled into the Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble bookstore, looked to the right and saw him immediately.  He stood up to greet me and we had a lovely long hug!  He’s cute!  He reminds me of the comedian Jim Gaffigan – tall, cute, fun, great hair for an older guy, and in good shape, with a sly smile.

Any email from you makes my heart beat faster! I know you have a very different day, so do not worry. Know they are precious to me! I’ll be working tonight, so I probably will not write back until you are safely tucked into bed! But feel free to send me one!
I thought 1:00 PM was the appointed time. Just one question, but do not take it as a negative, is your friend a level of security? Will she be there the whole time? I am in no way questioning the meeting, just like to know to see what is up and be mentally prepared. We can chat about it tomorrow at 6:00. But again, do not read too deep into my question, just curious. I don’t know the end time, it’s either like 4:00 to get home (usually go out for drinks after work on Friday) or I say I’m held up at work, which would let me be with you until 9:00. No pressure, just options and if our chat was any sort of a time marker, not sure that would be enough time to even just talk! I will be on my best behavior and have no expectations, except that we are good friends. I do not want you to feel nervous, threatened, or uncomfortable. So just let me know where your mind is. 
So much I want to say, but I’ll save it for Friday or tomorrow’s chat.

Today was brutal at work, but it’s over.  I am home, have eaten and am so glad I have something else to think about and can “be with you” in email.  
Hooray for 1 pm Friday!  Looks like the weather will be good!  I am so psyched!  Can you make it be that time soon?!  
Sorry to put strange scenarios into your head.  Now I’m wondering if you’ve had meets with wacky women!  Hope not!  My friend is not going to be around! And I don’t have to see her if we decide to keep talking or whatever.  I warned her that might happen.  She doesn’t know the details of who I am seeing for what, just told her I was going to be out there. I don’t want any time pressure on us!  
My mind is quite calm about meeting you. We’ve set it up in a reassuring way.  I’m focused on the possibilities for good stuff – chai latte, conversation, looking into your eyes, laughing, touching. So glad I checked my emails between stacks of work! 
No, it was my mis-reading of your email coupled with that story of that abusive man! I guess I was being protective and was misplacing some of my worries about the bad meetings. I just want to have a fun, relaxing time with you and whatever that may entail! I am strangely calm about our getting together. In some ways I feel we are like two old friends getting together to talk about our lives since we last met. I know it sounds crazy, but you drive me (good) crazy!
I have thought of a good outfit to wear to work Friday so you will know it’s me when you enter Starbucks. But I want to keep you in suspense until we chat tomorrow night. Have you thought about what you are wearing? An old tee-shirt with cotton panties? 😜

The office is quiet.  Both my colleagues at my level are out sick, so my boss is in another office covering for one of them!  She has already pestered me with a call and five emails but will not pop in unannounced.  And she’s in training most of the day tomorrow, so I have a reprieve for awhile.

We had fondue tonight and I actually am not a Pats fan.  Kraft, Brady and Belicheck are big Trump supporters.  Hard to swallow all that.

It is so fun to write to you, and hear from you!  It feels like the best thing to do with my time.  That’s a good sign, right? 
I am very lucky that you found me.  It is so freeing to be able to be me, share smart and sexy conversation, plan a fun outing together.  And it can get better if we click in person!  You add way more pleasure than stress, and any fear is not over anything you have done, but what your brothers in cheating did.  But it usually works out – I’ve only had one “really bad man” – so the law of averages is on my side!  
Wikipedia helped me read up about Catullus.  Those Romans were a wacky bunch!  My classics pal went to grad school at Yale in Classics before the museum bug got her, but may not have read the Confessions because she is Jewish.  I do think she was very cool with you.  
I am thinking about rubbing your feet… listening you to unwind, feeding you a treat… maybe cheese and salami and crackers and olives… and helping you relax.  Hope you’re not too ticklish there!

The birthday party went quite well! My niece is such a fantastic kid. The food was delicious – pasta alla norcina, salad and nutella brownies! It’s tricky for the grown-ups to get along but everyone behaved well! And she opened my present first. 🙂

Hiya Tim,

Talk of your travels got me thinking about mine. It’s good for me to remember them and see how each trip added to my life. Let’s share lots of fun stories.

My parents were big travelers and took us all over the US and Europe, then I continued with my sisters, and did bits on my own when I was on a national charity board for 10 years. I have slowed way down because Hubby won’t fly, so we enjoy wonderful day trips now. New England has beautiful places!

Here’s a fun U.S. map of where I’ve been – only have 6 states to go! My best memories are of the red rocks in Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, standing on the black sand at the bottom of Waipeo Valley on the Big island of Hawaii, or touching a glacier in Alaska. My maternal grandparents lived in North Carolina, so we spent school vacations driving back and forth.

amber for states where you’ve at least slept and seen some sights.
blue for states you’ve spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of.
green for states you’ve spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.

I’ve also been to other countries: 

Canada – Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, and BC and the Yukon. Nothing like afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC.

Mexico – three times to Cancun. My little sister was an exchange student in high school, and likes to go back to refresh her Spanish. Remind me to tell you about the hottest night of my life on my first trip there.

Puerto Rico, to St. Thomas for carnival… I stayed with the local who told me, “Ain’t never seen no white woman move da way you do!” Trunk Cove on St John is the most beautiful beach in the world!

Sis lived in CA awhile, so I got to visit the San Francisco area and Sonoma. Then she moved to London for two years, and I got to visit twice. I adore it there. I got to see the Queen! She attended the opening of an arena in Nottingham that featured the figure skating stars of the day from all over the world, gathered by Torvill & Dean! We also saw Diana’s childhood home at Altorp, Parliament and Buckingham Palace, Harrod’s, Baker Street. And four shows in the West End! She knows how to show a gal a place.

My dad was in summer school in Oxford when I was 7. We drove to Rome and back in three weeks, so I have a little girl’s view of Europe. My older sister kids me that I only remember when we were lost or there were ducks or doll houses. Mostly true! I remember something about England, the channel crossing from Dover to Calais, Paris, Lyon, Amsterdam, Edam, Munich, the boat down the Rhine, the Swiss Alps (cow bells!), Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Florence (with flood marks above my head), Rome, Venice, Marseilles, Nice, Brussels…

There is still a long list of places I want to see.

I always look around and wonder if I could live where I am visiting… and always come back to Boston.
