Had oysters and beers. Had a cigar and scotch, was all good and then I think of my friend snorting that nasty shit up her nose and it kills me and I know she’s doing it and I can do nothing. How do you deal with that? I just don’t know how.

Wild night at an event – someone dislocated her shoulder, had to get an ambulance, delay, police, fire, emt’s..then someone else filled in on the spur of the moment to great glory!

 Mahi mahi taco and beef taco for Hubby

We also treated the niece to frozen yogurt.  Yum!

 Open kitchen and bar
 Caesar salad, buttermilk fries, Mexican sliders
 Clam & potatoes garlic soup – the highlight for me 
 Buttermilk fried chicken
 peanut butter semi freddo
Warm banana bread with caramel sauce

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice –
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.

“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.

You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.

It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.

But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
