500th time

The number 500 is on my mind today.  This, right here is my 500th blog post!  Holy cow… Philip and I talk a lot.  Okay, it’s mostly me blathering on but… wow!  I am still here, still posting, long after many bloggers give up the ghost.

We have shared so much!  Facebook messages, emails, texts, phone calls and visits… I can’t believe all my old flame and I been through together… being there for each other for more than a year as of October 2011.

  • 35 years apart,
  • him finding me,
  • cybersex – resurrecting my libido after 10 years
  • convincing me to take a chance on meeting,
  • meeting and having it be incredible!
  • him convincing me to have an overdue mammogram that saved my life
  • much more cybersex
  • Seeing him right before I had breast cancer surgery
  • supporting me throughout nine months of the treatments
  • having cybersex when my body was useless
  • getting him through the overnight drive across half the country
  • his big move when I didn’t know if I’d ever hear from him again
  • still hearing from him
  • my dad’s death,
  • his dad’s death three weeks later,
  • seeing him again a month after I was done with treatments!
  • eating a lot of LOBSTER!
And there is more!  Life is going to go in an interesting direction because I discover tumblrs and sexy blogs!  And I share my favorites with him.  And with you, dear readers!  Huge thanks to you reading along all this time, helping me get started, watching my back, and chiming in here and there (I’ve had over 200 comments!)  I hope you will continue to get a smile or a tingle out of our day-to-day shenanigans!
Hey, let’s party!  I’ve stocked the bar and hired the best bartender – what will you have?  There’s even some clam chowder and lobster on the table over there.  Time to lift your glass and toast!

Just for fun, here’s a peppy tune by a couple of Scots with lyrics that I wish a man would say to me someday!  Enjoy!

Sassy Answers – Liebster Award (blogs I adore)

It’s time once again for an exiting post from the “Sassy Answers” pile!  This is my chance to talk directly to you, my dear readers.  I have something extra special for you today, with info about amazing other blogs and a big announcement!
Q.  What other blogs do you read?

A.  Check out my blog roll (the list over on there on the right >>>>)

These are the other blogs that I recommend!  The blogger slept with me paid me impressed me in some way.  Please check them out!  Click!

It’s hard for me to believe that I started blogging just over three months ago.  And in that short time, this blog has had over 5,000 hits, and become been accepted as part of the incredible fabric that makes up the beautiful tapestry of the sexy blog world.  And now my blog has won an award!

Sally Field’s Oscar Acceptance Speech “You like me!’

The fabulous Ryan Beaumont of The Ashley Madison Adventures of a Regular Guy Gone Bad
has awarded me a Liebster Blog Award.  It’s got a German word in it, so that makes it super sexy, right?

According to the lovely Lainey at Lainey’s Life Lessons: Near as I can tell, the Liebster Blog Award is more of an attempt to increase readership of smaller blogs, specifically those blogs with less than 200 followers. “Liebster” is a German word that means dearest or favorite.  So here is how this whole award thing works:

Rule #1 Link back to the person that gave you the award.

The Ashley Madison Adventures of a Regular Guy Gone Bad
http://regularguygonebad.blogspot.com/

Ryan Beaumont is a disciple of the infamous Riff Dog, and is still posting!  He tells us about his adventures meeting women from a “married but looking” web site, with a musical theme and easy recipes thrown in to keep us from starving in between!  He is charming with a wonderful Southern twang, sweetly funny and also tells his wife’s story in a unique way.  He keeps trying to get me to come back to D.C. for some reason…and I am very tempted!

Rule #2 Choose deserving bloggers and alert them to their award winning status.

Here’s my list of beloved blogs deserving of the Liebster Award!

1) Both Hands Please
http://bothhandsplease.blogspot.com/

bhp, a fabulously hot Aussie, is a stand-out in the “man who lets you inside his head” genre.  He doesn’t post often, but serves up an incredible mix of links to art, music, books, photos and stories.  HOT!  Be sure to read his multi-part “ins and outs” friendship story.  I have read them so many times the pages are frayed around the edges.  There is something wonderful about men down under!

2) Buckle Up -It’s Going to be a Bumpy Ride
http://buckleupitsgoingtobeabumpyride.blogspot.com/

Wave Rider takes us along on the roller coaster of her affair with that guy.  It’s bumpy but funny, sweet, serious and sexy in a way that touches me every time she posts because she understands the joys and challenges of a long distance relationship.

3) Internal Pathways to Contention
http://internalpathways.blogspot.com/

W is another marvelous-looking man who lets you inside his head.  He loves music, motorcycles, cars and beautiful women and has a way of writing about them that makes them interesting whether they’re your thing or not.  He poignantly struggles with a lot of the same issues many of us face, and I keep tuning in to see how he is doing, and views of his beautiful body to help me make it though my day.

Give out the award to 5 blogs,
I’ve only been at this a short time, and most of the blogs I read have already been nominated, so I am only sharing three today.

Rule #3 Post the award on your blog and share the fun.
It took me awhile to figure this out, but I’ve done it!

These blogs have already been nominated but they are sooooo worth your time!

Confessions of an Adulteress

Luna is an interesting woman with a beautiful body and a sense of humor who writes about her deepest emotions and adventures with men.  She comments on other blogs and was a big help to me as I got started.  Her posts are brief, and I’ve read the entire blog.  She told me she studied creative writing with Jonathan Carroll and it shows!

My Secret Life

Naughty Kitty posts about her affairs but also whatever else is on her mind from cookie recipes to office politics to current wacky news stories.  She posts amazing fantasies, and is often thinking what I’m thinking from a different angle.  She was also very sweet to mention my blog in her Liebster award post.

There are four other blogs I adored that have disappeared recently.  I wish I could send you to read them cover to cover.  But I will say a big thank you to Ms. I, Liam, Holly and Adam for sharing so much while they could and hope life is treating them well.

There… that ought to keep you reading and smiling for quite awhile!
Any blogs you’d recommend?

Sassy Answers – How a Good Girl Goes Blog

In celebration of having made almost 150 posts (Good gracious, Philip and I talk a lot!) and collecting over 5,000 hits (holy cow!) – it’s time for an exciting edition of “Sassy Answers!”

A curious reader asked me:

Q.  How did you get to be a sexy blogger?

How do I parse that sentence?  How did I get to be a sexy person who blogs?  Or how did I get to be a blogger about sexy stuff?  I like it both ways!

A.  “How a good girl goes blog”

Step 1 is having an amazing story to tell after Phil found me.  Heating up old flames is interesting!  And it made me interested in sex again, and in some ways, for the first time ever.

Step 2 is being inspired by other bloggers.  This means jumping ahead a bit, but there’s a great trail of sexy blogs that brought me here and it’s time that I shared them with you.  I am sending my love to these amazing bloggers. With a hug.  And some groping!  Mmm…

Here’s the story of my travels through the blog world on my way here.

November 2004

1) Livejournal

I started a random personal blog in 2004 on LiveJournal.com.  My sister convinced me it was a great way to see what my friends are thinking, and share my thoughts.  I never found my voice there… but I bumbled along doing restaurant reviews, trip reports and comments about various TV shows.  My sister and about 100 friends post there.  They share stories of their lives – travel, day-to-day frustrations, politics, recipes, party invites, dating woes, and interesting stuff they find on the internet.

August 2010

2) Jonathan Carroll
http://www.jonathancarroll.com/blog/index.php

Several people on my LJ friends list posted items from this amazing writer.  His blog is snippets from other writers and his own – poems, quotes from books, and musing on lost love.  I’d always found them “too deep” but soon after Phil found me, they began to make sense to me in a new way.  You’ve seen the poem “P.S.” and there will be more I could not resist sending to Phil.  He posts wonderful photos and quotes to Facebook as well.  Like him!

March 2011

A friend of a friend is particularly good at pointing out things I should see.  On this fateful day, she sent us to look at a Tumblr page with a collection of photos called

3)  “Sex is not the enemy
http://sexisnottheenemy.tumblr.com/

I admit I was not going to click on the link.  She said it was NOT SAFE FOR WORK.  And I was not a fan of sexy photos online.  Usually skinny women with odd wax jobs screwing over-muscled  men in some bizarre position.  But I noticed there were a lot of positive comments.  So I clicked.  And spent the next hour SMILING!

It’s a series of photos and quotes designed to make sex look like fun.  There are people smiling and doing all manner of sexy things.  I like it because

  • It makes me SMILE every time I go there.  It’s about FUN.
  • It’s quick to look at.  They post a pretty photo or a short text every few days.
  • Diversity – It gives you a chance to see people of all kinds being proud of their bodies – male, female, thin, chubby, white, black, Asian and who knows, straight, gay, lesbians, bi, alone, couples, multiples, young, old, with toys…
  • Ideas:  Positions.  Toys.  Learning A LOT.  Found photos to share with Phil to keep things fresh.
  • Your body is okay, my body is okay- It helped me understand that my body can be sexy even if I don’t look like I did when I was 14.  Because all body types are celebrated!
  • Sex is okay – For those of us raised without much info about sex, taught that our bodies should be hidden, sex is somehow dirty, urges should be suppressed, and that people who are different are bad, it’s refreshing to see such joy!
So I popped in there every few days and smiled.  I usually click something fun, enjoy looking and then forget about it.  But I found myself drawn to this site over and over to see the lastest photos.

I even took a big leap and forwarded the link to other friends, explaining that I don’t usually send sexy stuff, but this site is different.  No one replied so I didn’t know if they looked or not.

I don’t know how Tumblr works, but I figured out that someone was surfing the net and pulling together photos from a bunch of other sites.  I began to notice that many of the photos I liked came from one source.  So I went to look at that blog.

Early November 2011

4)  Dick-N-Jane.com
http://www.dick-n-jane.com/
This site is written by a married couple, Dick and Jane, who work and have kids and try to have sex now and then in creative ways.  It is tasteful and humorous, and includes:
a) Photo blog, with incredible photos of couples.  They post a lot, and often on a theme.
b) Sex blog of their adventures,
c) Reviews of sex toys (including why you’d want them and what they do),
d) Ask Us (with answers by experts),
e) Fantasy box where they post ideas for each other
Part of their sex blog has posts called “Hot or not?” which is .gifs (5 second moving pictures) of sex on a theme.  There’ve been 5 of them.  They’re a tease but some of them are, well… HOT!   And you get to vote on which ones you think are hot.  I know you love voting!
I shared various links with Phil.  It has taught me A LOT.  I finally understand what toys are for!
In November 2011, they were named #11 on Rori’s “Top 100 sex bloggers” list.  And they posted the entire list!
Like a kid in a very sexy eye-candy store, I clicked through a bunch of those blogs.  All are interesting, but most are not for me.   I had great fun reading a little bit here and there, to see if it’s my thing, and if not – click on the next one!  Also, many bloggers have a “blog roll” down the right side of the page with the other blogs they read, usually in the same vein as their blog.  So I checked out the other blogs they like.  Part of me reads for an interesting story, the other part weighs whether I’d like to try it.  I learned a lot!
I ended up finding one blog that made me want to start at the beginning and read the entire thing:
Thanksgiving weekend 2011
5)  Ashley & Me
This is the gold standard of “inside a man’s head” blogs.  He was #5 on Rori’s list of the top 100 bloggers in 2011.  I read it from start to finish over Thanksgiving weekend.

It was written by “Riff Dog,” a music exec in CA, who wrote about his adventures meeting women from a “married but looking” web site.  And he helped men market themselves on that web site, then make women happy after they met.

I wish it was a book I could hand you.  I wish I could tell you to read it all.  But as with many sex blogs, it is gone.  He managed to last longer than most – nearly 4 years in a world were 4-6 months seems average.  Damn, that man could write.  He was funny and smart and entertaining and very sexy.  And a sweet man underneath all his adventures.  (Don’t tell him I said that!)

He also explained how to make yourself attractive in a personals ad, and did research on what works and what doesn’t.  And he was hysterical responding to comments!  He snarked back and forth with other bloggers.  He made me cringe now and then, but it was educational.  It was mostly about him trying to fulfill his fantasies and please a woman.  He gave me ways to increase my confidence and to understand what men want.
He was like the pivot for a synchronized skating team – he supported other bloggers and everything revolved around him.  Several bloggers got their start because of him and many men owe their dating success to using his techniques, so he’s a bit of a hero.  It was a wonderful community of support for people cheating on their spouses who can’t talk to anyone in their “real lives.”  He coined several terms used by other bloggers.

Riff made me want to fuck him.  I wanted to comment on his blog.  And tell the amazing story of Philip and me.  And the best way to do that was to start my own blog.  So you can thank him or blame him for that!

December 2011

So after a week of trying out various blog names in my head and googling to be sure no one else had thought of it, I sat down one magical December afternoon, poked around blogspot.com and… here I am!

Sassy Answers – VD plans

Hiya, Dear Readers!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Or Happy Tuesday, if you are not a believer.

It’s time once again for a fabulous holiday edition of “Sassy Answers” – that wild and wacky time when we take a break from the fascinating conversation between Sassy and Phil, and your humble sexy blogger actually writes something for your eyes (rather than Phil’s).  Whee!

Q.  What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?

A.  Working on my blog.

Oh… you were asking something else, right?

Well, the real world will see me out after work with my adoring husband, strolling the aisles of Whole Foods, the local fancy-schmancy grocery store than I can not afford the rest of the year.  We try to avoid the crush of earnest men picking up flowers and chocolates at the last minute while we pick up items we call “treats” and take them home to “nosh.”  This allows us to avoid the craziness of the restaurant scene, have amazing food for less money, not cook, and buy food that’s bad for us but tastes soooo good!

Here’s a list of the items in our cart from previous years:

Starters:
     Cocktail shrimp and sauce
Mousse Truffee Pate on pita bread triangles

     French Saucicon (salami-like sausage)
Green Olives with lemon and garlic (for H – Sassy does not like green olives!)
Gourmet cheeses – triple creme brie, emmenthaler, appenzeller and Cotswald
Whole wheat and natural rice crackers
Guacamole and mango salsa and tortilla chips
     Honey roasted cashews
Fresh fruit:
blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, mango, or strawberries (for H – Sassy doesn’t like them)
Chef Bruce Aidell’s Chicken Meatballs with teriyaki & pineapple, ginger & garlic
From the prepared foods counter:
     Cous cous cranberry salad
Spinach ravioli with pancetta, peas and garlic
     Teriyaki flank steak slices
     Cajun turkey tips
Pulled Pork Platter (NC bbq, pickles, mashed potatoes and squash)
Dessert:
     Godiva chocolate raspberry domes
     Lake Champlain Hazelnut chocolate bar
     Hazelnut Chai bark
Tropical dark chocolate with fruit bits and ginger (for H – Sassy is a milk chocolate girl)
Festive beverages:
     French Pomegranate Blueberry sparkling lemonade
     Lemon Ginger Beer
     Raspberry Ginger Beer
     Sparkling apple cider
Snack: Lilly Movie popcorn
We spread it out on the coffee table in the living room and eat watching something I want to see on television.  This year I am hoping for an episode of the new “Sherlock” from the BBC.  Whee!
And….we have leftovers for treats all week long.

For the record, we do not exchange presents.  And he does not touch me.  *sigh*
=============
In my secret life, I am yearning fiercely for Phil, spinning out a very sexy scenario in my mind of what we would do if we were together.  I am looking at photos of him with his wife on Facebook.  I try not to pester him, knowing he should focus on her today.  I do send one message or text, to express how knowing him makes me understand this day in a new and wonderful way!
I hope you have a fabulous day whatever you’re doing and whoever you’re thinking about!  I hope someone touches you!  My fervent wish is that one day, the person holding your hand and the person you yearn for will be the same.

Sassy Answers – What’s this blog about?

It’s time once again for me to answer a question from a reader.   Perhaps “reader” is the wrong word, as this lovely person didn’t want to read…

Q.  What is this blog about?

A.  What do you mean?  You don’t want to start at the beginning and read every single post?  I know, you have things to do and not enough hours in the day.  As Inigo Montoya says in “The Princess Bride,” “Let me ‘splain.  No, there is too much.  Let me sum up.”

One word:  SEX!

Short answer:  It’s a very SEXY conversation between a man and a woman on Facebook.

Summary:  My first love from high school found me online after 35 years.  He’s curious to know how my life turned out, and whether the demure lady is the same sassy girl he knew.  He came at me at 100 mph, reminding me of the magic moments we shared, and trying to convince me to finish what we started as teenagers.  He wants to find out if the chemistry he remembers and the connection we made online exists in the real world, even though we’ve each been married for years and never strayed.  Will we ever meet face-to-face?  Will we hook up?

My plea: Please start at the beginning and imagine how you would feel as you get each message, day by day.  They’re short.  They’re funny.  Some even have music!  It’s a sexy, strange and wonderful story!

If you have read my blog?  Thank you!  Please comment to tell everyone what it’s about for you, or which post is your favorite, to help out those who are new here.  I won’t even mind if you say it’s the photo of my chest!

Sassy Answers – Pong

It’s time for another fun edition of “Sassy Answers” where I try to satisfy the curiosity of a dear reader.

Q.  Do you and Phil communicate any other way except Facebook messages?

A.  YES!

While the bulk of the interactions Phil and I have are in the Facebook messages and a few emails you can  read here, there are a couple other ways we interact that you haven’t heard much about:

1) Phone conversations

I don’t remember specifics, but we don’t talk about sex very much so you probably don’t care!  I am not a phone person, but we spend HOURS chatting away about food, restaurants, our travels, football, baseball, people we knew in high school, our work, our hobbies, and every other topic you can imagine.  Whenever he has a long drive, he dials me up on his mobile phone and yammer away.

Phil can talk, let me tell you!  He is a great storyteller.  I scamper into a private office at work, or dash to my bedroom, lie on my bed and glory in the sound of his voice.  Doesn’t matter what the topic is… I love listening to his voice, hearing him chuckle and having a chance to talk with him in real time.

2) “Facebook Pong”

This one gives me a special thrill.  It’s like a ping pong game or the old Atari video game, “Pong.”  For reasons that are likely clear to you, we don’t comment on each other’s Facebook posts.  And sometimes a message isn’t the right medium.

I post a status update about where I am and what I’m doing.  About 10 minutes later, Phil does the same.  Or I post a photo of my cats, and very quickly there’s a photo of his dogs on his FB wall, often in a similar pose.  He’ll post a photo of the view out his window at home or at work, and… yes… you guessed it – I post a similar shot from my life.  It’s an amazing way to share bits of our lives and say “I saw that… I’m thinking of you, and I don’t care if everyone else sees it and doesn’t know why I posted this!”  HA!

And it’s even more wonderful when we post about something we’re doing at about the same time, and it turns out that we’re doing the same thing – eating at the same type of restaurant that neither of us ever mentioned or has visited in years, or watching the same odd video online, or remembering a historical event.  Yet another example of the spooky sensation I get that we share two halves of the same brain… a feeling I’ve never had about another human being.

Arcade Original Pong

We haven’t done anything else… yet.  But in just a little while, we plan to engage in old-fashioned face-to-face TALKING!  I hope there will also be TOUCHING!  I still can’t quite believe he will want to touch me… but I am ready to find out!  Please think good thoughts, cross your fingers, pray or whatever else will send good vibes my way as I head off to see if we want to pick up where we left off as teenagers!

Sassy Answers – “Fiction?”

Sassy loves to hear from blog readers.  Especially when they ask a question!  Sometimes they surprise me.

A recent reader asked two questions!

Q. Do you want to be a writer by profession?

A. Was that a compliment?  Awww…. thanks!

I am a writer, that’s for sure.  I kept a daily diary from the time I was 12 to 38.  I am writing all the time online.  And this blog is a lot of writing.  And sex sells… but I do not believe anyone would pay me enough to make a living at it.  (If you are a publisher or want to underwrite my blog, my email is on my profile!)

Sure, it would be nice to have a best seller and make pots of money, ditch the day job, go on talk show circuit and talk about reconnecting and SEX AND INFIDELITY!  Whee!  As fabulous as my writing is, I don’t see that happening.

Q. Is this fiction?

FICTION?  Why, um… yes!  Of course… I made this all up.  Every word comes from the strange depths of my bizarre imagination.

What is it that the movies say in that legalese disclaimer at the end of the credits?

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

Yes, Phil is too good to be true.  There are no second chances.  Men don’t scour the internet to find their old flames and reach out to them.  Men don’t come back after they dump you and apologize years later.  No man would cheat on his wife with a woman that looks like me!
Right?

Right?

Sassy answers – “Why Tits?”

Welcome to the inaugural issue of “Sassy Answers!”

Q: Why would a demure married woman show off her cleavage in a blog icon?  Good question!

A: First, to answer a sub-question, yes that is my chest.  I took the photo myself with my mobile phone.

Second, let’s see how many different words for my bosom I can use in one post.**

1) GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT!

Several men have told me my tits are all they’re interested in.  So I get that out of the way right up front, as it were.  If that’s all you want, you can go now.  🙂

2) BECAUSE I CAN!

No one in my real life sees “the twins” (except my doctors), so I show you my breasts as a BIG HUGE SIGN that this blog is DIFFERENT from my real life.

3) BECAUSE MY RACK IS ONE OF MY BEST FEATURES!

I am not sexy (visually) by today’s media standards, except for the big tatas, the brilliant blue eyes and the fabulous smile.  My bust has inspired men to describe what “more than a mouthful” is good for, in glowing terms.

4) BECAUSE I SURVIVED BREAST CANCER!

It is not what I am about, just a medical thing I had to get through.  People call me brave and inspiring (blah, blah, blah) but I just went to the doctor a lot, was cut, stabbed, taped, scanned, weighed, poisoned and zapped, and learned a lot of life lessons.  I am relieved to be whole and cancer-free, so I show off my boobs as evidence of that wonderful outcome.  Three cheers for the staff of The Gillette Center for Women’s Cancers at Mass General Hospital! And kudos to Phil* who stuck with me through all that.  He proved the amazing uses of cyber sex to entertain a woman’s mind when her body was useless.

5) BECAUSE THIS PHOTO was the first sexy photo I texted to Phil* and they produced an amazing reaction!

He sexted me incredible nekkid photos and I was loathe to reciprocate, because I was not proud of my body, a bad photographer, an untrusting git who worried about what he might do with the photos, and thought he’d run screaming if I showed him my body.  But he was patient and supportive until I was able to respond in kind.  And his response to my melons gave me the confidence to believe he might actually want to see me in person and finish what we started as teenagers.

So ENJOY!
