From my public blog
I was so energetic today! I did two loads of laundry, took my mom out for a nice lunch, then took her to the grocery store. Wow, the new Market Basket in Burlington is gorgeous! and well-stocked. and still wicked cheap! And there were helpful employees around! Wow.
I got the urge to cook. (I know, now you’re thinking someone has taken over my blog!)
I bought the fixings for an Italian dinner. They have a lot of chopped up stuff, which makes it really easy. And I came home and cooked!
For my records, here is the recipe:
Beefy mushroom garlic onion spaghetti sauce
————————————
Fry up everything in a pan, and then add the sauce.
1.25 lbs of ground beef
2 teaspoons of chopped garlic
4 oz chopped onions
8 oz chopped mushrooms
2 lb, 13 oz jar of Ragu chunky tomato, onion garlic sauce
You might leave it there, but it tasted too tomatoey to me, so I added a little
black pepper
chili pepper flakes
Italian seasoning (oregano, thyme, Savory, Majoram, Basil, Rosemary, Sage) and
Worcestershire Sauce
to “darken” it up a bit.
I let it simmer for awhile, then made hot Italian sausages and fresh angel hair pasta. Yum.
Looks awesome but I would have thought you would have been more into a clam sauce!
