Hiya Reggie! Happy July! Hope you stayed cool! I went out to brunch, walked a couple of blocks in the heat from parking space to restaurant and back, and that was enough! But it wasn’t humid, so it didn’t seem as bad as it might have been.

Had a fantastic brunch at Waypoint – fancy fresh donuts and breads, oysters, shrimp cocktail, then avocado and shrimp salad on a croissant! Tasty cool treats for a summer Sunday.

The rest of the day has been quiet other than shepherding a big grocery order from Wegman’s via Instacart, and making a gourmet dinner of corn on the cob and chili cheese dogs. Heh.

I have been thinking of you and next week and smiling. I looked through tumblr for ideas but figure no pressure – we’ll have enough exploring to do and firsts and can branch out later.

Hiya Reggie! What’re you up to today? Hope you are having fun.

I was just thinking of you, going over our delightful conversation yesterday. I keep thinking we’ll run out of topics but the more we talk, the more I am curious about you. I thought of about 10 new questions!

Last night was fantastic! Hubby and I went to Uno’s Pizzeria on Huntington for a casual dinner, then strolled over the Symphony Hall for an evening with Andy Borowitz! It was so wonderful to be in a hall full of Democrats, to laugh and be energized by his satire! He talked for 30 minutes, was interviewed by the local PBS station journalist for 30 minutes, then took questions for 30 minutes. I was amazed at his brilliance, his sense of humor, his ability to work the crowd and answer on the fly in a kind, intense way.

I read up on his life – he went to Harvard, president of the Lampoon, then off to Hollywood to write for TV including creating “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” Writing books, acting in movies, doing stand-up and writing for the New Yorker, now with a Facebook page he posts to EVERY DAY with biting, slapping and kicking at Trump and his evil minions. Wow.

Today is quiet. I’ve made the long trek (okay, maybe 20 feet) from my bed to my desk. Heh. So nice after the wacky week I’ve had.

I am going back to bed soon to nap… or maybe play with a toy!

Think of your hands on my chest? I should warn you I have 5 tiny round blue tattoos thanks to the Radiation Oncology Department at MGH. The technician said they look like The Earth… from very far away! They used them to position the huge radiation machine during my treatment. Maybe you can play connect the dots! Mwah!

MEET #2 w/ Reggie 


Dumplings and you 

I took the day off from work. So glorious not to get up early and go to the office! I still did some payroll work at home, but in my slippers!

I put on my black bra and panties, a collared golf shirt in dark blue and patterned leggings. I took a Lyft to my favorite Chinese restaurant, Mary Chung’s. I was early. They gave me a booth and I emailed Reggie to let him now I made it there and where to find me.

He waltzed in right at 1 pm! He looked around, smiled at me and strolled over to sit down. He grabbed my hand and squeezed, then sat across from me in the booth. He stared and smiled. I grinned back. We giggled.

The waitress came over – he asked for a couple more minutes to decide. He asked me what to order – I gave him suggestions. We ended up with a double bowl of the suan la chow show (spicy pork dumpling soup) for me, and dry-cooked sliced beef and green beans for him. We shared it all. I adore a man I can share food with!

He asked me if I like spicy food. I told him about growing up in a “white bread” home, where the spice rack had salt, pepper and garlic powder – and my dad didn’t like pepper! How when I moved to Boston my older sister took me under her wing for “Olympic training” to refine my palate and teach me how to eat and enjoy spicy food – Chinese, Thai, Indian. I am up to about 7/10… not the top hot dishes but past the mid-range now! He said he also didn’t grow up with much spice but has gotten himself up pretty close to the top, but not the outlandish peppery dishes.

We had a wonderful conversation! He is so interesting, and he listens and asks good questions and answers my questions. He talked about his parents, and his kid’s summer plans. He talked a little about work. We talked about fun travels we’ve been on.

We spoke of sexy things. He asked if I could meet him at a hotel next week! Woohoo! I worried all week that he really wants a friend and was not attracted to me, so I asked if he still wanted to and he pshawed and nodded dramatically! I told him my STI results came back negative so I am good to go! He grinned.

After 90 minutes, he said he had to get back to the office. He paid for lunch and we went out to the street. He looked at me longingly and said, “We can’t do anything out here.” I nodded sadly. I suggested a quick hug. He grabbed me and held me. I relished the feel of the way we fit together, the way his arms feel around me, the sexy masculine smell. He stepped back all too quickly, smiled and was gone down the street.

I summoned a Lyft home and sat in the back in a haze of memories and possibilities!

I have been reading lots of articles and books over the years about polyamory and open marriage. Communication about such things becomes hard especially with someone you love and respect and who says she is an absolute monogamist but for whom you feel no sexual attraction. This has been weighing heavily, again, on my mind because (perhaps she can sense my distracted state of mind?) this has come up again quite a bit between us. So, here I am with only half my attention at work feeling like I want to be somewhere else.

Friday afternoon is still a possibility – between 1 and 3. But I have a meeting at 3:30 to go back to, unfortunately.

Just got back from a wonderful lunch at Border Cafe with Hubby and a gal pal. She posted to FB last week that she is 1) breaking up with her bf of 7 years, 2) Quitting her job, 3) Moving to CT, 4) to be with a new guy! Whee!

Work is coasting down to a dull roar. A lot of folks out next week so it should be quiet, thank goodness.

Sis is leaving next week for a summer with her family in Australia and NZ next, so I am listening to her barely-controlled panic about all she has to get done to be ready to go. Gonna miss her something fierce.

Sorry your home situation is weighing so heavily on you. I hope I can lighten the load, or at least listen. My favorite article from 2010 in the Boston Globe has disappeared. It was amazingly unsensational, with real people living poly lives in various configurations which seemed reasonable. These are big issues but I hope a solution is just around the corner. In the mean time, put on your best compartmentalizing cap and kvetch to me.

Can’t get a hotel from 1-3 pm. Want to meet for lunch and talk more? Or is that torture without touching? Find another day late afternoon?

I’d better get back to work – gotta do the payroll early due to the holiday next week…yippee.
