An old theatre near here was showing the only 70mm print left on their big screen last night.  It was stunning!  The music, the dancing, the Shakespeare, the romance.  Hard to believe it was made in 1957.

Hiya Brett,
Hope you’ve had a good week – such beautiful weather! Did you have a good visit with your kids?
It’s been a strange time for me.  My uncle died on Monday morning, so that means a trip in mid-October for his memorial.  And my husband’s father died this morning.  Hubby doesn’t feel like he can make the trip to the midwest, so we will grieve from here.
This makes FIVE deaths in my close family in the past six months – Hubby’s brother, my dear friend from church, Mom, her brother – my only Uncle – on Monday and now Hubby’s dad! *sigh All senior folks, all expected… but *sigh
In better news – we got our new couch!  We spent three nights moving furniture and cleaning – Tuesday to make a path for removal of the old couch, Wednesday to clean up under that and prep for the new couch, then Thursday putting everything back around the new couch!  No one warned me about all that!  I took the opportunity to recycle the ancient magazines that had accumulated under the coffee table and side tables.  Whee!
