I just realized that my first reply may not have conveyed sufficiently that I’m the one you met on AM.
Just wanted you to be sure.

Hiya Brett!  Thanks for clarifying.  I’ve been getting some odd chat requests and spam, obviously inspired by the breach, so every little bit helps.
How are you this fine Friday?  Hope life is going as well as the weather!

RE: Connection
Sassy,
I’m holed up in the office.  The weather seems OK from my view out the window.  I’m trying to get a program kicked off so that it runs over the weekend and it’s going to be close.
I’m getting a few of those emails as well, but thankfully every one of them ends up in my spam folder.  I was checking it in case your first email ended up there but you apparently passed the test.

Hiya Brett!
I’m heading out now to go to a medical appointment with Hubby.  He likes me along to listen and take notes.  Best of luck with your program.
Glad Yahoo thinks I am trustworthy.  Hope you will agree soon.
So three questions for you:
1) How old were you when you lost your virginity?
2) Have you always lived in MA?
3) Do you cook?

RE: Connection
Sassy,
I’ll get back online this evening.  Quick answers to your questions
1.  23
2.  No, I grew up way up North, was transferred to Boston area for work.
3.  Yes, but not too much…it’s very difficult in our kitchen (needs longer explanation…perhaps during a face to face)
I will answer questions about current and past relationships when we meet face to face.  Kiss and tell is not in my wheelhouse, especially online.  I would only give very generic answers to such questions online.
While I believe you are who you say you are, I have read only today that this is not the case with many AM connections.  I presume you feel the same way and when we meet, the information sharing can move to the next level.
Did you grow up in this area?
What do you enjoy about living here?
Do you know who hacked AM?
massaging your lower back and edging downward….ooh.

Hiya Brett,
Hope your weekend is off to a grand start.  I’m so glad to have your email.  Did you hear that the CEO of AM quit today? No more Noel.  AM will go belly up any moment.  *sigh
Thank you for answering my questions.  23?  Interesting.  That is the oldest I’ve heard.  Tell me the story behind that sometime.  North eh?  Cool.  I don’t cook but I make great reservations.  Or delivery orders.
Here are my answers:
1) Who says I grew up?  😉
I was raised in upstate NY, came to MA for college, then moved in with my older sister in Somerville “for three weeks while I hunt for a job.”  Nine years later… I bought my own condo in Boston.
2)  Boston is… my home.  I have traveled all over and each time I look around and think… “This is great!  But it’s not where I want to live.”  It’s some combination of the restaurants, the relative safety, close to the ocean, liberal politics, the diversity, great neighbors who are kind but not nosy, close to family who moved here after I did… and very different from the tiny town fishbowl I started in.
3) Ha ha.  No.  I wonder what I’d do with the info if I did…
I am not part of the nastiness in this world but you have no way of knowing that for sure, so it makes sense to be careful.
Three more questions:
1) If you could show me anywhere in the world you’ve been, where would that be?
2) Are you a morning person?
3) Do you sing?
If you massage my back, I may have to like you.  The basics can be so alluring!  Here’s to holding hands while my thumb rubs your wrist.

RE: Connection
Sassy,
AM may survive, it’s always hard to tell.  Sometimes publicity is a good thing, even when it’s not good news.  The way I look at it, they’ll be the first to be resolving the situation if they survive, so it might be the best place to be.
I would show you the area where I grew up.  Dramatic coastline and beautiful forest.  Longest stretch of undeveloped sea shore on the Atlantic Ocean (save for even further north).  Will have lots of stories about that area.  It’s much like Acadia National Park, just further away (if you can imagine that).
I work out at the gym every morning before work.  Not sure if that makes me a morning person or not, perhaps that just discipline…but it gets me ready to start my day.  I’ll sleep in sometimes if I have nothing going on.  I do usually go to bed between 10:00 and 11:00, so not a late night bird.
I have sung…but I’m not particularly great at keeping tune.  I will definitely sing with a group.  I did try Karaoke in China (it’s big over there) when I was there and I’m pretty sure they have autotune because I sounded a lot better than I thought I would.  I dabble at the piano.
My three:
What kind of car do you drive?
What is your favorite music?
It sounds like we a making a good connection…do you agree?
sensuous footrub with your legs on my lap against me…

Hiya Brett,
It is such a treat to get your messages!  I hope you don’t find them too tedious.  I am feeling a connection.  You make me smile.  And tingle.  Good things!
I went to Acadia National Park on my honeymoon.  🙂  My favorite place is in CO.  Have you been to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs?  There is something about the red rocks that I found uniquely beautiful.  I also adore the halls of Buckingham Palace… probably too much Masterpiece Theatre watching.  And the beach at Trunk Cove on the island of St John… that silly blue water and white sand and… ahhh.
I have a blue car.  🙂  I didn’t own a car until I was 43.  I was a Dodge Grand Caravan driver for years, hauling people and stuff around for various charities.  A couple years ago Hubby decided he was tired of being everyone’s best friend when they were moving, parking a huge car, and spending too much money on gas.  So he convinced me to get something smaller.  I picked a hatchback.  What about you?
My musical tastes are eclectic.  I like almost everything, especially if I can sing along.  Folk and Broadway show tunes and modern a cappella.   The Beatles.  Old hymns.  Rock.  50’s.  60’s.  70s.  80s.  The Hallelujah Chorus!  My favorite musician is David Wilcox, an American folk singer from NC, similar to James Taylor.  He is an extraordinary guitarist, and a musical storyteller.  He can wash a load of clothes and come back with a song, or touch on the toughest moments the human heart faces with humor and tact.  Tell me your favorites?
Sweet sexy dreams!

RE: Connection
Sassy,
I too enjoy receiving your emails.  It can never be too tedious connecting with another soul.
I drive a Prius…always practical.  I get 50MPG.  I take the back roads to work to avoid running at highway speeds that kill MPGs and it’s only a few minutes longer.
My musical tastes run all over the map.  My favorite band is Pink Floyd, something about their haunting guitar solos.  Classic Rock is what I listen to mostly.  I’m also a BIG fan of the B3, so any band/musician that plays that will be a hit with me.  The blues and gospel often feature B3 virtuosos.  Bach on the pipe organ is also high on my list.  I really like most music but not twangy bluegrass.  Sometime bluegrass is played in a bluesy style so that’s tolerable.  My daughter really likes drum and bass music and I can even chill out to that.  That sounds pretty ecletic to me.
Do you play a musical instrument?
My favorite song is “Great Gig in the Sky”.  Sadly Pink Floyd won’t be doing any more concerts and I never saw them live, but I do go to some Pink Floyd tribute bands when they are in the area and they really do put on quite a show.  I just went to see Deep Purple about a month ago.  Theirs was my first record purchase when I was a kid.  I still remember that I had to pay the premium price of $5.00 for that album.
Are you at all a sports fan?  I gave up on baseball when we couldn’t get games without cable, never liked basketball but football and hockey are my favorites.  A group of us at work are doing another year of fantasy football and that starts Wednesday.  Just in time to coincide with the end of golf season.
Do you have a big family?  brothers and sisters?
Got to get to bed, I have an 8:00 AM meeting tomorrow morning.

Hiya Brett,
Wow… you stayed up late writing.  Yay!  I will do the same.  It’s fun poking around in your head.
Ah… a Prius!  Great car!  Hubby wanted one but he couldn’t fit in it.
Can you send me a youtube link of a good example of your B3 faves?
I used to play the piano.  Even composed a few songs.  But I haven’t touched it for ages.
My dad was a Yankees fan and took me to the Old Yankee stadium when I was 12.  I switched to the Red Sox when I moved here and was a baseball fanatic until the strike in 1994 that ended the season early.  Never got back into it with the same intensity but I do keep an eye on them.  I hadn’t been to Fenway in forever but won a ticket to a game with a gang from work earlier this year – got to see Brock Holt hit for the cycle and they actually won!  Never been to hockey or football.  I did get a free ticket to the Ryder Cup when it was in Brookline years ago.  Fun to stroll those beautiful grounds following Tiger Woods around.  I was a total figure skating junkie until about 10 years ago.  I traveled all over the world with my younger sister to Worlds, Nationals etc. and met most of the big name skaters and their families.  The rule changes and increased ticket prices stopped me.  I do still go when they’re in town and already have tickets for Worlds at the Garden next March!
I have two sisters – one older and one younger!  The older one is a challenge to deal with, tries to be a second mother.  The younger one is my best pal.  She and I help run a community project in our spare time.  My mom is still around, in a lovely assisted living community.  What about you?
My big Saturday plan is lunch with my Mom.  She likes to get out and about.
Here’s to workouts of a different kind.  😉
