Mammo morning

Good morning!  Hope you are staying warm down there.

I’m off to MGH for my annual mammogram.  Yippee.  Please think good thoughts for me that

     a) they don’t tear my skin and bruise me like last year and

     b) no cancer!

Thanks kid!  It worked!  I had a much easier time.  I took 4 ibuprofen beforehand and didn’t feel the compression at all, just a little pain from one tear under the left breast.  Phew.  Hope you’re staying warm!

Hiya kid!  Looked like lots of fun in the snow!  It’s headed our way.  Good thing you know how to handle that!  I’m hanging in.  Still coughing a bit but ignoring it!  My office is in chaos… camped out with a conference room table for now, may move to an office share later in the week.  Mom is home but feeling crappy.  Takes time they say.  Ugh.

I talked to a young fella online last night. A snowboarder.  Whee.  All he really wanted to know was my cup size.  Duh.  Back to my toys!

Glad to hear Mom is home, not so glad to hear she is not feeling well. It does take time especially as we get older.  

Snowing here, it stopped but now it’s getting colder and it’s all freezing.  A snow boarder eh?  Your cup size?  What a dork. Better off with toys.  

As I passed my year of probationary service, I can now look to other jobs.  Not sure what will pop up.  May look for something closer to home.  Will see.  I want to go back to working with front line military types.

So Sneezy is checking in.  I don’t get it.  Last time I saw him he sneezed the entire time because he’s allergic to cats and therefore me!  Did he forget that?  Maybe he is on some new anti-allergy meds?  He doesn’t say.  I’ll tell him I am not seeing anyone… we’ll see what he wants.

Greg!  How are you dear man?  Did you have a good holiday?  
I had a lovely Christmas, then got sick and was stuck inside with a cough for 7 days!  Argh! 
You found a nice lady to play with?  I’m not seeing anyone at present – been mired in moving my mom to an assisted living place and selling her condo and taking over her finances.  The NH guy got divorced and took off with a single lady in October, as you’d expect.  I’ve been hanging out on AM but not being enticed by anyone so far. 
Hope the new year brings great adventures for both of us!

So 20th Century

I slept late… relishing my last morning without an alarm clock.  It was rainy but warm 50s!  
I tried to get motivated to do more around here but… eh.  I went to chat and there was a marvelous woman there!  We solved the problems of the universe.  Heh.  
I watched “Downton Abbey” on the TV!  It’s the only show that will make me turn on that box.  Heh.  It was a glorious start to Season 5.  I hate waiting a week to see another one! Seems so 20th Century! 
It’s tough to hold off the “going back to work blues” after 12 days, especially because I didn’t get a real vacation due to being sick, and I have to face the chaos of office renovations.  Ah well…
