Now that I’ve been on Ashley Madison awhile, I hear this song totally differently.

I’m not in love
So don’t forget it
It’s just a silly phase I’m going through
And just because
I call you up
Don’t get me wrong, don’t think you’ve got it made
I’m not in love, no no, it’s because..
I like to see you
But then again
That doesn’t mean you mean that much to me
So if I call you
Don’t make a fuss
Don’t tell your friends about the two of us
I’m not in love, no no, it’s because..
Be quiet. Big boys don’t cry.
I keep your picture
Upon the wall
It hides a nasty stain that’s lying there
So don’t you ask me
To give it back
I know you know it doesn’t mean that much to me
I’m not in love, no no, it’s because..
Ooh you’ll wait a long time for me
Ooh you’ll wait a long time
Ooh you’ll wait a long time for me
Ooh you’ll wait a long time
I’m not in love
So don’t forget it
It’s just a silly phase I’m going through
And just because I call you up
Don’t get me wrong, don’t think you’ve got it made
I’m not in love
I’m not in love

a song written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman of the English group 10cc, from the album The Original Soundtrack. The lyric reveals a narrator in denial about the title’s ostensible theme. The song on the b-side “Good News” also appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the album. The song revolves around the singer or narrator repeating several times “I’m not in love” but at the end of the song he realizes that he is deceiving himself. The song was released on 31 March 1975. It is on the soundtrack of the film Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, and was also part of the soundtrack of the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
I’ve got nothing, dear…
Other than that, how are you?
